kittycat with cleated track

I recently acquired a 1973 kitty cat with a cleated track. All the kitty cats I have seen have rubber tracks. The local Arctic cat dealer hadn't heard of one either. Can anyone tell me what this type of track is about. Could it be prototype or racing track? Thanks

Wahl makes one.. They dont work for beans on snow but are made for ice racing. I have several rubber tracks and might be willing to part with them. I am building a mod sled and might be able to use the track if you are going to get rid of it. let me know at rchares1@maine.rr.com Thanks Roger
