Ok guys bought a unit for my son last spring and it ran great most of the time. Now I am having a problem. I can get it started, however when I push the choke in, it kills instantly.

Now I know that I may have made a mistak and mixed the gas oil 40:1 instead of 50:1, however I wouldnt see this as the problem.

Can anyone shed some light on this

The choke is activated by pushing it in. You pull it back out to turn it off. It sounds like you are starting it with no choke and then once it is running, you are turning the choke on.
