1972 kitty cat wont rev up do i need a new carb?

im having trouble with getting my 1972 kitty cat to stay running.ive taken off the carb 4 times and cleaned it .it will run but it wont rev. up any suggestions ? im thinking new carb. are there any out there that i can get to fit ,and work? i have tracked this sled down from when i was a child.i now have a 6 yr old girl and a 4 yr old son , i would love to see them ride on the sled that i rode when i was a kid. plz. help. thanks chad

Is the choke open? If so, can you see the butterfly (throttle valve) shaft move when you give it throttle?

I bet it has bad crank seals. when was the last time you had it running good? next time you start it, spray some starting fluid into the recoil and listen to see if the engine rpm goes up. more then likely that is your problem.
