I just rebuilt this T5A engine with parts from two other engines and need to setup/adjust everything for the governor. Does anyone have instructions on how to do this? My e-mail address is quacken@warwick.net. Thanks

Governor lever holes

Another question along these same lines:

On the T5A engine, the governor spring goes between the governor arm and the lever assembly. The lever has 3 holes (top, middle, and bottom) where the governor spring can be attached. Anybody know which hole gives the fastest sled speed?

Top hole will give you the most rpm. (the most pull on the spring attached to the gov. lever) To properly set up the gov. requires a tach., you simply adjust the position of the arm on the gov. shaft untill the desired peak rpm is acheived.
