carb problem

I have a 72or73 kitty cat that when i get it running i have to keep it chocked or it will die what can i do to fix this ?

I had the same problem with my 98. If it wants to run with the choke on then it's not getting enough fuel. I tore my carb down and cleaned it with torch tip cleaners until it was abolutely spotless, put it back together and it went great.
