Alternate Piston for 72 Kaw engine.

I read somewhere on this forum that you can use a Yamaha pw50 piston and rings to replace the stock piston on a 72 with the kaw engine. I also think I read that some mods need to be made to do this though.
I would appreciate any info on this.

Or if anyone knows where I can get a replacement for the stock, let me know.

good luck buddy, i paid 162.00 for a brand new oem, still in original box, piston and rings off ebay, very hard to come by.

You gotta be kidding me. WHo would pay over $160 for a Kitty piston? Couldn't you find a machinist who would make one from billet for less?!

i inquired as did others with weisco need to buy 100 to get it made as the other guy said the nos stuff is nuts but out there bd

You can find them. I just sold a NOS piston with the crank for an A motor for $60. I found another I paid $40 for. LOOK
