Hood removal

How do you remove the hood on a Kitty Cat 1991. Hinges look weak, how not to break?

Not 100% sure on the 91. The 72 you need to take the bumper of so the hood can open 180 degrees then it will lift off the belly pan half of the hinges.
Edit: after looking at some 91 pics I’m sure it’s the same procedure..
