My childhood Kitty Cat - 1980 -

Post by bryce »

I have not rode this K.C. for over 20 years. Now that my son is 2 years old, it is his turn to ride it, and enjoy the thousands of hours I did on it.
If I remember correctly it is a 1980. Please correct me if I am wrong. Will post new pictures within a week.

I am not sure about the year but just wanted to say it looks like you had a lot of fun on it and it didn't sit still for long. Hope your son has just as much fun!

That's pretty cool... Not only didn't I own one as a child, I didn't even know they existed.

Almost time to dust it off for this year's snow...

Year Kitty Cat

Post by Jonn »

Sorry for the slow reply. Yes, it's a 1980 kitty Cat. That was the first year that Arctic Cat had the wide green strips on the sno pros and followed suit on the Kitty Cats. 1980 was the only year the Kitty Cat had the wide stripe on the hood. The 77 to 79 had the decals around the front of the hood with the kitty head in the middle and the 1981 had a wedge style decal on the side the started thin and got wider towards the back of the hood.
