Headlight alternative for Kitty Cat

Post by dwadholm »

Since the wires for a light are already there I figured why not hook up a headlight. The OEM ones are insanely priced so I ran to fleet farm and picked up a square 55 watt halogen light. Hooked it up and like others have found it is very dim. No problem, ordered an H3 25 watt bulb (shop manual says 35 watts but I'm still waiting for that in the mail) from eBay. Got a pair for 7.00. Hooked it up and bingo...that little sucker shines!

I'll post some pics when I get them uploaded.[/img]

The light was under $10 the bulbs were $3.50 and the wires I had laying around.

For Under $15 you can add a functional light...unless your kitty is a show machine, then buy the $80 one. Our is a daily driver!
