Excessive Cowl vibration
Anyone have a solution for excessive vibration coming from my 1999 Kitty's cowl? It's pretty loud.

What do you mean "coming from cowl"? Are you talking about the engine? Can you be more specific? I'd be happy to help you figure it out.

My '79 vibrated real bad. I found the source of the noise was the bottom of the hood vibrating against the aligning brackets and the top of the belly pan.
I bought some liquid electrical tape and painted the two aligning brackets that stick up above where the steering spindles are. That helped a bit. I also took some small 1/8" silicone tubing and filet'd it (cut a slot the long way) and installed it onto the bottom edge of the hood where it contacts the belly pan. I secured it with TRV silicone like the caulking stuff. That quieted it right up.
