I ve got a 92 KC that came with no airbox, just wondering if it really does much? it seems to run ok.without it, I should say did run ok (got her all torn apart now to redo crank seals.)Let me know if u know different can't see my self spending the cash on it for one, if nessary I will just make something up i guess.

My 92 has an air box but there is no air filter of any sort in it. I suspect its just there to keep snow and flying dirt out. I may actually go buy coarse sponge type filter for a lawn mower and put in mine just to be safe. You would not want a little rock or something getting in the carb.
