1996 Kitty Carb issue.............

Post by Jekyll »

I have a 1996 Kitty Cat that "acts up" when my 5yr old son rides it. He is not exactlya a"lead foot" asnd mostly just cruises around the yard. Sled acts like it is getting hot (maybe it is) and then starts to not take gas. IT will start back up and if you "floor it" it takes right off but any attempt to give it gas slowly causes the engine to bog and die.

Could it be vapor locking?

Do I have the carb adjusted wrong?

What is the proper way to adjust teh carb?

Thanks,
Roger

Roger.
My daughters 77 kitty had similar issues. I ordered a new needle, float, float pin etc for the carb. The new float was not even close to being set to the same level as the old float in the carb. It purrs like a kitten now.
