Gearcase Oil How to Change?

Post by steves »

After doing lots of gearcases on other stuff, Is the Kitty suppose to be filled to the top.

Or is there a bolt part way which is the fill to spill port?

Would really like to see the service page posted if some might have one near... Thanks Steve

ps. I've done a bunch of searches and can't seem to find comments on anyone changing the gear oil.

I could be mistaken, the manual says nothing about the gear oil check & fill.

No matter, now I remembered how to do it. I had done it before and forgot. It is easiest to me to pull the motor. If simplifies draining.

Out on the bench it is easy to --> "spill port" on the phillips screw hidden behind the clutch.

I think mine just had a lose drain plug following hrs of riding. Steve

My mistake. I knew when you gave me the link I was missing something.

I thought I had already downloaded it. In fact I had only looked at the Owners Manual and Parts Exploded Views. Since I didn't look at the URL I didn't realize you gave me a new file link from Kube1.

Sorry to be bother. Thanks ... Steve.
