Carb Tickler
What is a "tickler"? I've got a '73 mostly all original. Just rebuilt the engine and it won't idle. The hole for what is referred to as a tickler was plugged with silicone. Looks like it could have been a primer. Could this be the reason my pilot circuit doesn't work?

Re: Snowmobile Tickler
A snowmobile carburetor tickler is just a different type of "cold starting" device for your engine. Ticklers are small spring-loaded rods that can be pushed down, this in turn pushes the float down fooling the carb into thinking it's empty and allows more gas/oil in to fill the carburetor bowl, hereby drenching the combustion system with fuel...
