comet clutch on a KC

i am not sure if anyone has tried but can a comet torq-a-verter clutch work on a suzuki powered kitty cat?

Yes it works well. Pretty much all the belt drive F-1 race kittys use this clutch and the 8" converter.

do you know which model clutch is used and as for the 8 inch converter, where might i find one of those and how to apply these to my kitty cat? i am just getting into this stuff for my son. he loves his sled. thanks

They call it a 340 series comet driver....JR racecars make a 5" driver for that clutch and they sell a 7" driven for a 3/4 inch belt and use a 42 degree cam on the driven...Check my web site I mounted a system like that in a stock chassis...Click on "drivers"...then "Erica Ensor"....and click on the pictures and I mounted a sprocket gearing and brake set-up on the other side....this sled flies....did 8.85 in 500ft on nitrous...www.kidsperformance.net[url][/url]
